In news reports, there seems to be no respite in sight for the residents of Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State as the menace of bandits gains momentum. Following the abduction of residents two days ago at Dogon-Noma, and a week before when at least 61 persons were kidnapped within the same LGA at an area called Budah. Another 100 individuals have been brazenly kidnapped. This occurred at about 10 pm on Sunday, 17 March. Residents said the area is now under the siege of terrorists who operate without restraint. Last year the Emir of Kajuru, Alhassan Adamu, and members of his family were kidnapped and since then the area has witnessed constant attacks. There have been reports of the terrorists also looting shops and stealing food and other valuables before vanishing into the forest. In some sections of the news media, the Kaduna State Government has yet to make comments on the incident.
